Favoptic was the first company to sell prescription eye glasses online in Sweden, and one of the first in the world. Since 2000, we have sold more than 1 million pairs of prescription eye glasses online.
We are looking for several people to join our development and operations team. Favoptic has had a remote culture even well before the pandemic, but we would like our people to be in a similar time zone and live within reasonable distance to be able to meet face-to-face on a regular basis.
Working at a small company means there are very short communication lines, a varied work environment, a lot of autonomy and flexibility, and you really get to make a difference.
We live and breathe Python. Of course, HTML/CSS/JavaScript are also necessary to have functional websites and applications. We store our data in Postgres.
In the past our team's roles have been somewhat blurred, with overlapping responsibilities. Nevertheless, developers and administrators are often different kinds of people, and if you love Linux, Proxmox, networking, firewalls, VPN, etc, we'd love to hear from you. Even better if you know Python too. If you have experience with Dev-Ops and things like Kubernetes and Docker, we'd especially love to talk to you.
